I don't know if it's becasue we've been cooped up in this house all winter or what, but these girls (triplets specifically) have been awful the last few days! Last evening was awful - my voice was somewhat hoarse last nigh from yelling by the time I went to bed. The jumped on the living room couches (they never do this) tore the cushions off them - after I got them out of that mess they went and dumped out a whole box of Goldfish crackers on the couch in the toy room and then jumped on top of the crackers smashing them into a million small crumbs. Then they went and dumped crackers into the rabbits cage. And of course it continued into the night - I found myself up at 3am changing bedding because Natalie wet the bed.
Oh, there's another problem. Dear Hubby decided - unilaterally mind you - to get a rabbit for the girls. It was free so he couldn't pass it up. So the poor thing just sits in its cage and stares at us. If we get it out of the cage to roam around the triplets (and even Avery as much as she can) chase it around the room trying to catch it. The poor little thing is terrified of three laughing, giggling, jostling, running, swerving little terrors chasing after it. They are just too young for a pet yet I think - or certain types of pets I should say. We have a Jack Russell Terrier, but they pay her no attention whatsoever. That's another thing - a Jack Russell is a hunting dog. Would our terrier love to hunt a rabbit???? YOU BET! Having a rabbit in the house is driving the dog wild. Hoping the rabbit doesn't stay at our house. Nothing wrong with the little thing, just not a good place for it.
Anyway - the triplets are at their grandfather's today. God bless the man - he takes the children a couple days a week for me (not the baby though) so I can have a break, so the girls can get out of the house and because he loves to spend time with them. With this many children, I never get time to myself anymore. That's hard to get used to and something I dearly miss. Signing off for now!
